Three Men
A one-woman theatre piece about fantasy, survival and the stories we tell ourselves. In a cramped convenience store on the outskirts of Beijing, Fanghua spends her days behind the counter, trapped in a life that seems to go nowhere. To escape the suffocating boredom, she transforms the shop into the set of her own private movie. Passing strangers become the heroes of her imagined romances and gangster films. Three Men is a one-woman performance that blends physical theatre, storytelling and spatial transformation to explore themes of identity, desire and imagination.
